Patient feedback varies depending on personal tolerance.  Most patients tolerate treatment without any topical anesthetic, which numbs the skin from feeling sensation.  Our Synercool system which treats the skin prior to Comet™ to reduce discomfort has received overwhelming patient approval. What do treatments feel like? Patients describe the sensation as a "hot pinch" or "snapping" feeling.  The sensation only lasts for a fraction of a second.  You may feel warmth or a tingling sensation for a short time afterward. What happens after treatments? Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a short time.  You can resume normal activities immediately after treatments since they are no-downtime procedures. How does The Comet work? The Comet™ uses laser and electric energies to damage the hair follicles.  This disables its ability to grow hair. What results can I expect? Over several treatments, there is a permanent reduction in the amount of hair in the treatment area.  Most patients achieve desired results after 6-8 treatments. How frequently do I need treatments? Treatments are usually performed every 4-6 weeks, but this depends on individual factors that our experienced Clinic Manager will discuss with you during consultation. How do I maintain myself in between treatments? Shave to touch up.  Do not wax, pluck or use any method to remove hair other than shaving.  Unlike other hair removal treatments, we want to treat your skin bare, not with long hairs.
